Autosave is Flakey on N73 + Shozu 3.0

I just switched from my N90 to an N73 and installed the latest Shozu (3.00.23).  Most of my photos are not auto uploading to Shozu and then to Flickr even though I have Shozu set to autosave.  This behavior is intermittent.  I didn't have this problem with my N90.

On further examination, I've found that even going to directly to "All Files" and "Upload to Flickr" will intermittantly fail.  I'll see the Shozu uploading badge on the photo and a connection being started over my EDGE network, and then it just stops.

Is intermittant upload failure an known problem with S60v3+N73+Shozu 3.00.23?  Is there a workaround?

I work in San Francisco and would be happy to show someone at SF office.

Thanks,

Charles

RE: Autosave is Flakey on N73 + Shozu 3.0

Hey

Yeah we are aware of this issue, its to do with uploading the image at the same time as trying to render the thumbnail or view the photo in the media view screen. It will be fixed in the next version 3.1 due out in Jan/Feb 07

There are a few work arounds none of them perfect.

a) Turn off auto upload view photo in shozu upload the photo manualy but then dont try and view the photo until upload has completed
b) Leave auto upload on but DON'T leave shozu on the all files view (so shozu won't try and create a thumbnail in the background) and don't try and view the photo until it has uploaded.

In 3.1 this whole area has been revamped, thumbnail creation is many times faster and because we use the cached versions of the images the camera creates so we don't clash with the uploading mechanism also we no longer load as many thumbnails in one go and , so its better on memory usage.
